Harris Museum & Art Gallery Intervention

I contributed to a group exhibition at the Harris Museum & Art Gallery, organised by ArtLab Contemporary Print Studio. The brief required each participating artist to select and respond to work from the collections. I chose a large ironstone china jug made by Clayhills Pottery, Staffs 1866. I was attracted by the humor and mischief of the characters on the ironstone china jug. I experimented with various plates, images and composition, I was interested to see how the characters interacted with one another and the narrative changed when removed from their original context and re-positioned in alternative settings.
